January 2019 Transitions by Holley Galland Haymaker

The Interim Task Force is very pleased to announce that we have our January interim from the UUA Targeted Ministry Program. She comes highly recommended by our contacts at the UUA. The Reverend Beth Miller has served as minister for five UU congregations, directed the department of ministry and professional leadership at the Unitarian Universalist Association, and worked as an organizational development consultant to many congregations. She has volunteered with the UUA as a mentor and coach for other ministers. Beth earned her Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary and was jointly ordained in 1990 by her home congregation, the UU Church of Rockville, Md. and her internship congregation, Paint Branch UU Church in Adelphi, Md.

Beth Miller has two grown children and one grandson, and lives with her cat, Buddy. I found on the web that she sings in a 200-member rock and roll choir and loves movies, plays, and all kinds of musical events. Sounds as if she’s coming to the right place here in Louisiana. She will be here from mid-January till mid-July.
