Little Sundays of Surprises (Age 3- Grade K)

The Rainbow Connection: Monsters Can Be Nice!

This session will help the children understand that the scary creatures and costumes associated with Halloween are fantasy and do not need to be feared. They will also learn that we can’t know what others are like simply by looking at or hearing about them.

Big Sundays of Surprises (Grade 1-6)

What Connects Us?: Love for All Creatures

This session will help the children learn about the third Unitarian Universalist Source, "the ethical and spiritual wisdom of the world's religions.” The children will come to understand how wisdom from another religion, Hinduism, can guide Unitarian Universalists, with love, into right relation with animals.

Sparks Preschool/Flames (Age 3 – Grade 1)

Wonderful Welcome: The Gift of Mutual Sharing

This sessionguides participants to understand how working animals exemplify care between species, an intangible gift the children can give and receive. They will also learn how to identify elements of a mutual caring relationship between a human and an animal, including responsibility, affection, loyalty, and help.

Blazes (Grades 2-3)

Super Heroes of the Bible: Elijah: the drought and the fiery chariot.

The children will be encouraged to wonder about things they can not understand.

Mysteries (Grades 4-5)

Harry and UU: Halloween with Harry Potter

We will learn why Halloween is important to Harry Potter. We’ll play a game of Table Top Quidditch and frost butter beer cupcakes.

Questioners Middle Youth (Grades 6-7)

Riddle and Mystery: Right and Wrong

This week the program poses the Big Question "What is Truth?” It defines spiritual truth as the truth we find in our own answers to the big questions, and demonstrates that different perspectives reveal different truths.

Passages (Grade 8)

No class - Passages Youth attend worship in the sanctuary.

Seekers Senior Youth (Grades 9-12)

No class - Senior Youth attend worship in the sanctuary.
