The Rainbow Connection: It’s Not Nice to Make Fun of Others

In this session the children will explore the values of respect and being considerate of others. It is the first session of the unit on the First UU Principle (Red): We believe that each and every person is important.

Big Sundays of Surprises (Grade 1-6)

What Connects Us?: A Covenant is a Promise

The children will explore the concept of covenant through the ancient Noah story, and create a communal art project.

Neighboring Faiths for Senior Youth

Parent Orientation

The Parent Orientation gives parents and guardians an overview of the Neighboring Faith program and its goals, provides a sample from the program, and invites your participation and support.

Sparks Preschool/Flames (Age 3 – Grade 1)

Wonderful Welcome: The Gift of Love

The children will experience giving a gift they cannot see, and learn that love is an intangible gift that is given and received.

Blazes (Grades 2-3)

Super Heroes of the Bible: Who is a Super Hero?

In this session the children will be introduced to the program’s idea of “heroes,” and start to learn the class theme song.

Mysteries (Grades 4-5)

Harry and UU: Opening Ceremony

In this first class of the program, the children will take care of house logistics (naming the house, making house rules), make wands, and learn about how Dumbledore’s Army will fight the horcruxes during the year.

Questioners Middle Youth (Grades 6-7)

Riddle and Mystery: The Big Questions

This week the Questioners Middle Youth will be introduced to the concept of “big questions,” and explore the first question: Where Do We Come From?

Passages (Grade 8)

Coming of Age – Covenanting and Community Building

Passages Youth will develop new and strengthen old friendships within the context of the group, and covenant about norms of group behavior.

Seekers Senior Youth (Grades 9-12)

Neighboring Faiths: What is Religious?

Senior Youth will learn about the Neighboring Faiths program, and identify faiths the group would like to learn about.
