Public Talk:  Timeless Teachings of Buddha
Buddhist teacher Anam Thubten will lead a public talk at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2021 Tara Blvd on Friday, March 30, 2012, 7:00 pm.  This event is hosted by the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge.
Unitarian Week of Service at the Holy Grill
Be sure to sign up for a day or two serving of the noon meal at the Holy Grill, at the BREC Cadillac Street Park, where Cadillace Street ends.  Signup sheets for the four days, June 4, 5, 6, 7 will be at the Adult Programs book table on Sundays in May.  New volunteers will be able to pickup a Volunteer Fact Sheet as well giving tips on preparing for food service.
The Annual Holy Grill Christmas Party, December 16, 2011 ~ Thanks to everyone that are participating in the Kid’s Café whose goal is to provide a toy and a piece of clothing to children, in the program, 5th grade or younger. The Holy Grill/Kid’s Café Annual Christmas Party was held December 16th, 4 PM at Cadillac Park Center at the end of Cadillac Street. Volunteers provided gifts, food, crafts and a Nativity pageant for approximately 100 children and relatives and friends.
 
The Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge observed the 25th Anniversary of its founding at a capacity celebratory breakfast this past Wednesday. A number of members from our church were in attendance, and our minister, one of the founding clergy, participated in the program. A noontime lunch at the Holy Grill celebrated 25 years of continuous food service for residents of the low-income Zion City area. Volunteers who have served the noonday meal joined residents in the special meal for the occasion, which included remarks by the Reverend Jeff Day, who was the first Executive Director and who inaugurated the food service as the Federation’s first outreach program.

The Interfaith Federation’s Annual Sounds of CommUNITY Concert~ Sunday, April 3 at 4:00 PM at Congregation B’Nai Israel, 3354 Kleinert Avenue. Musicians from diverse faith communities share their musical gifts in an inspirational concert. A reception will follow the one-hour concert.
On November 4, 2010, Atlas Foundation presented The Reverend Dr. Steve J. Crump the Dialogue and Friendship Award,“In Recognition of Your Exemplary Dedication and Outstanding Service in Promoting Interfaith and Intercultural Understanding" Atlas Foundation is a local organization that promotes friendship and cooperation between peoples of Turkey and the Islamic tradition and Baton Rougeans of other faith traditions.
