This is the last class of the Winter-Spring semester. There will be a Teacher and Adviser Appreciation ceremony in worship this Sunday, and an All-community Worship next week. Summer semester begins June 4.

The Rainbow Connection: We Care for Animals

This class explores the value of citizenship and the importance of care for wildlife. We will read Me …Jane, by Patrick McDonnell, and make Paper Plate Monkeys.

Big Sundays of Surprises (Grade 1-6)

UU Super Heroes: Pete Seeger (1919-2014) Singing for Justice and a Clean Environment

The children will hear about the life of a UU social justice environmental activist, and experience how strong messages can be delivered by music.

Sparks Preschool/Flames (Age 3 – Grade 1)

Creating Home: Memories of Home

This week’s lesson will allow children to investigate and express their individuality through their names and handprints, and explore how material goods as well as thoughts can produce positive memories to comfort and sustain us.

Blazes (Grades 2-3) & Mysteries (Grades 4-5)

Harry and UU: Transfiguration

Transfiguration is used to change something from its original form into something totally different. Today, the children will change paper into objects and discuss how we might also use transfiguration to change things about ourselves. The class will sell Save the Monarch Butterfly kits during coffee hours.

Questioners Middle Youth (Grades 6-7)

Traditions with a Wink: Chalice in a Bag

A UU identity is strengthened by having symbols of our faith around us. In this lesson, class members make a chalice for class use as well as make a chalice to take home for their individual use.

Passages (Grade 8) & Seekers Senior Youth (Grades 9-12)

Neighboring Faiths: Welcoming our Mormon Neighbors

The Passages and Senior Youth will have a visit from some local Mormons who will share what it is like to practice their faith.
