Little Sundays of Surprises (Age 3- Grade K)

Chalice Children: Teddy Bear - Lost

This session will help the children experience comfort as they share with the group their fears of and feelings about being lost. Children will come to understand that fear is a feeling everyone shares and that it helps to talk about it.

Big Sundays of Surprises (Grade 1-6)

Timeless Themes: The Healing Power

The children will think about sickness, healing, and faith, and become familiar with stories about Jesus’ healing power.

Story Time: Swimmy

The children will explore the things that make them afraid, as well as life in the ocean.

Flames (Grades K-1)

World of Wonder: Using Our Senses of Wonder

This session will engage participants senses of wonder and hone their observation skills. This curriculum concludes by nurturing a sense of responsibility for the interdependent web.

Blazes (Grades 2-4)

Signs of Our Faith: Signs of Faithful Leadership

The concluding session of this curriculum will show how strengthening our connection to each other, our shared past, and our shared future, can be a sign of our faith. It will affirm that to live one's faith every day takes courage and is a sign of faithful leadership.

Questioners Middle Youth (Grades 5-7)

Popcorn Theology: No Blank Slate

This week the Questioners Middle Youth will sample a lesson from the summer curriculum Popcorn Theology. The lesson, No Blank Slate, includes viewing the movie Back to the Future. Supporting discussion and activities will help the youth examine how the choices we make affect our lives and the lives of others.

Passages (Grades 8-9)

Coming of Age: Our Unitarian Universalist Story

This session will dramatize the life experiences in the lives of a few Unitarian Universalist Ancestors. It will help the youth analyze historical scenarios for common themes of shared UU beliefs, values and principles.

Seekers Senior Youth (Grades 10-12)

Principled Music: No Freedom ‘til We’re Equal

This week the Seekers Senior Youth will listen to music informed by personal experiences of homophobia.
