We're excited to welcome the Michael Foster Project back to UCBR for our first ever Labor Day Brass Band service on September 1. Members of the Michael Foster Project will be with us for both services to play familiar hymns and fun brass band classics. Join us for a Labor Day celebration!

It’s great to begin my time here with the Unitarian Church and see the very crowded parking lot in the past few weeks! And I see that the church has a shortage of parking spaces. Fortunately, the Starmount Insurance Company across Goodwood Avenue is happy to have us park in their lot on Sundays.

In August, we look forward once again to the annual gospel service. Our gospel choir is made up of church members and friends, and will again be led by Marie Flowers, with Ross Hoppe on piano.

Stonewall Still Rising - Last month, a memorial gathering was held commemorating the 50th anniversary of the event that began the LGBTQ civil rights movement, the Stonewall Rebellion.

Signup will begin Sunday, August 4 for our service preparing "Bags of Hope" on Saturday, August 31, 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul dining room.  This will be an all church/intergenerational volunteer opportunity for members and children with a parent or a designated adult.

My family is helping me move, and we’ve stopped halfway in our journey from Rochester, NY to Baton Rouge in Knoxville, TN. I’ve loved the view from the rental truck. The seats are elevated at least 4 feet higher than the seats in my car!

Gospel choir begins practicing on July 10, 6:30 p.m. for the annual gospel service. Join this fun choir for the month of July and sing in the gospel service on August 4.
